Tending to our hearts is one of the most vital practices we need to be diligent about, because everything flows from the heart—our intentions, beliefs, and actions all come from the condition of our heart. And I believe the cure for the heart is love. This four-letter word is a powerful force and worthy of a whole other post, but for today, I’ll say this: We need to practice unconditional love toward our imperfections. What’s beautiful about love is that it chooses to deem something worthy and gives affection to wounds, dysfunctional patterns, and parts of ourselves that, in our brokenness, we might deem unworthy. But our worth isn’t based on perfection—it’s there despite our imperfections.

Tending to our hearts is essential because everything flows from them. Our intentions, beliefs, and actions are all rooted in the state of our hearts. During my struggle this week, I was drawn to love, which I believe heals the wounds in our hearts. Love is powerful, and while it deserves more discussion, today I’ll say this: We must show unconditional love to our imperfections. Love, in its beauty, chooses to deem something worthy and offers affection freely, without judgment. In our brokenness, we might believe our imperfections make us unworthy, but love reminds us that our worth isn’t found in perfection. Instead, our imperfections allow love to show its true power.

Embrace your imperfections with compassion and love. They are not flaws to be fixed but unique aspects of your journey that shape who you are. In choosing to love these parts of yourself, you unlock a deeper sense of worth and belonging. Remember, it's not about being perfect—it's about growing, healing, and showing up as the truest version of yourself. So, let go of judgment and allow love to fill the spaces where doubt once lived. You are enough, just as you are.
